I can't believe what a trash this is. One big filler with lack of beats. Kendrick sounds like handicapped. Boring as f...

clearly this is a concept album which is moody, introspective and all that jazz. i mean that's fine if you think Kendrick is some type of genius and/or can relate to him.

In Kendrick’s position, he basically had every producer and every rapper at his disposal and instead of making a banging album he went the ‘experimental, cutting edge’ route and it came out like garbage.

When would you listen to an album like this?  Not at the club, not with your friends…it’s too slow to be an uptempo party album or a hype album to listen to while you work out. It’s not an album you can listen to while getting romantic with your girl. It’s not an album filled with retrospective deep cuts you can listen to when your trying to get over something in your life.

Dunno maybe it’ll grow on me. Gonna give it a few more spins but my initial reaction to this is WTF. Maybe I’m just out of touch with what modern rap music is supposed to sound like.

ah I was expecting a little more after initial listen, probably 3.5/5 stars for me, obviously amazing lyricist but lacking in execution

This album is a lot to process.  Concepts, thoughts and stories are good but definitely not the type of album you can vibe to.  Kind of weird to be honest.  I can’t see this album getting many spins in my rotation which is sad considering what Kendrick is capable of
