For the people who have heard The Heart Part 5 and think it's going to be an album filled with those type of songs...

Don't even think about it. Don't set yourself up for disappointment. Have an open mind when you listen to it. It's going to take several listens to digest. This is album will be more praised in time.

Respect him for making whatever he wants and not being influenced by record labels, ARs, other artists etc. Just does what he wants and if you like it cool if not that’s cool too I guess

Kendrick has never been my favorite rapper, but the guy is a genius and he is making music unlike any other artist in the game right.

It will take a while to digest this album.

There are/were some artists ina rap game that can be called genius but Kendrick is not one of them imo. He is talented  and was simething fresh back in a day but not a genius.

For me - Dr.Dre, Kanye (not a fan). Past - RZA, Pac, Notorious. This is is just my opinion.

the word genius gets thrown around too loosely

really, there’s dre and quik who u could make an argument for .. but neither really really applies their musical genius nowadays.

I agree. Music is not the same anymore like it was in the times i grew up 90’s. I had more fun listening to it back then.
