back to back commercial duds (aftermath presents and this) would have been very bad for Dre.

and you heard his lawyers say it themselves - dre was in a big hole when he bet on Eminem. he found the sound with storch and Mel man, and he found the sure shot artist. risk/reward
no it would have not been bad for Dre. Hip hop is not about being commercial and Hip Hop is supposed to be anti-commercial. Hip hop is being underground and Street. Nope Dr Dre betrayed one of his own on the west coast for some new school cat and that shows that Dr Dre's not loyal to his friends. I don't care what lawyers say they're all liars

I think the one with the turkey cover was the first official release under Koch records, this is an official re-release by king T.
Definitely do not a Bootleg, silver disc, a real booklet with credits and pictures of king t + on the back there’s a likwit records logo.
King t got the masters from Dre so he can release it on 1000 labels if he want.
It’s a shame that Xzibit, tha liks & Defari are not on these album.

It's not master quality. I grabbed the files from Tidal and only the intro was lossless. Even "Got It Locked," which had an official single release, wasn't in master quality  :grumpy:

^ Read this article. ;)

https://www.makeuseof.com/what-is-tidal-mqa-why-is-it-controversial/

yes.. i understand that tidal allows for khz beyond what other digital outlets and even CDs allow (44.1 khz)

but there’s a great debate on whether anything above 44.1 khz makes any audible difference

they say human ears can actually only detect up to 20 khz, so 44.1 technically should sound to us as good as 352 khz

that’s why i ask what he considers as “master quality” as there is a difference of opinion in that

Production on this is incredible.  An interesting mix of the last vestiges of original G-Funk and the nascent space funk that Dre was in the early stages of developing.  This album is a wonderful window into a brief moment in time.  It's true that it wouldn't have sold well if it had been released when intended back in the day, but man would have it gotten mad respect from the streets.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.
