Ras is way above Jay-Z.  I remember in 96' when his album dropped which was supposedly the best of his career he was just considered mediocre anywhere outside of NY

Jay-Z sucks and is nothing more than an average rapper.  I guarantee if you get into a convo with his fans the first thing they will bring up is either the money he has or Beyonce.

In terms of lyricism all these rappers give him so much respect is that like some way to get into some club??  Because I never liked any of his trash music.  Only track I ever bumped of his was "Black Republicans" from Nas album and that's cause it's a Nas track.

...Then just compare Royce version of "Renegade" to Jay version--Royce ranks higher than Jay

Yeah that version of talent I hear what he' saying. And then there is a different kind of talent to be making good music as long as Jay has. He's slowed down a lot but will prob always have a dope album in him. Never thought i'd say that, but think it's true
