no way it competes with Regulate

I believe the comparisons were with his 2nd album

I know, it's crazy to think, but as i'm bumping this album, i'm getting more enjoyment out of it than Regulate, and maybe that's because i've played out that album so much but....

Gangsta Love is so smooth,
Why Oh Why sound like a cut from a classic Death Row Dogg Pound Album,
Dollas Make Sense is a great Crucial Conflict/Warren Collab
Having Things is an upbeat party track
You Never Know is a tight introspective track
G Spot is straight old fashioned Gfunk track
Dope Beat is also smooth
Game Don't wait is one of the best 213 tracks
If We Give You A Chance is the sleeper cut on the album, love it.

9 banger tracks, and the single "I Want It All" is just ok honestly.  And then you have the Dre produced GAME DON'T WAIT REMIX that didn't make the album but was an amazing track as well.  Only downfall is The Twinz aren't on this one.

Regulate G Funk Era was so short,
Regulate, obvious classic, but already released on Above the Rim and played out
Do You See is good
Recognize is dark, but Twinz come correct
Super Soul Sis is amazing, but warren isn't even on it.
This DJ is the standout of the album
This is The Shack is another great track, Warren doesn't even rap on it.

6 tracks from this album (Only 4 that Warren raps on)

Compare the two objectively, i really think I WANT IT ALL might be better.

What are you talking about "JD got dissed on What would you do"? From MWTC? That is the first I've ever heard it was a diss towards JD.

You never saw the beginning of the music video?

Yeah can’t believe I forgot to mention “Dope Beat” !! Damn that joint is so smooth, yeah that’s a personal classic to me.  And actually it’s one of the first songs I ever heard leaked to the internet.

Anybody old enough to remember Snoopsdogghouse.com ?  “Dope Beat” was like the first song that leaked from the album well ahead of its release and before the release of the single which came out almost a month in advance of the album.

That was in the days of those snippets, and I used to click and wait a damn 15 minutes just to get some 40 second snippet of “Dope Beat”.  It’s possible that leak could’ve been a whole 9 months before the album released because I remember SnoopsDogghouse website poppin as far back as late 1998 around the release of Bad Azz Word on the Streetz

Absolutely I remember Snoops Dogghouse.  That's where all the early leaks came from.  He had a hook up from somewhere.  He recorded a lot of stuff off the radio too from back in the day.

Another Warren G snippet I remember he dropped was SMASHING - Warren G, Five Footaz and Kurupt.  That song is another smooth banger and sounds like it was made around the same time as I WANT IT ALL.  It ended up on the 5 Footaz album Lifetime.  I remember waiting forever for that song to pop on some project.

Major props — not only do you remember Snoops Dogghouse — but this is my first time hearing 5 Footaz actually released an album in the 90’s.  I just saw it now on YouTube.  I got some catching up to do this weekend!

Yo homie, any other good memories from Snoops Dogghouse?  Anything else you knew about the dude running the site?

I remember though the site was obviously named after Snoop they were very critical of Snoop — dissing him for his lyrics on “Puttin it Down” complaining sarcastically that — “the great lyricist Snoop rhymes “down” with “down” putting in zero effort to come up with a hook.  They wrote some review like that—which I disagreed with because I was a big fan of the song, video, and album from Bad Azz—but still it was great checking a site in those days devoted to the kind of music I was into.

What other great leaks did they have?  Or news leaks?  Because I know there were so many.  They might’ve also been the ones that leaked a snippet of “Next Episode” well before the release of the album but not sure.

I know they did have those early leaks of Next Episode and those early Snoop/Foesum tracks.  Also had a leak of Born To Die - Daz and Tray Deee.  All Aboard - Daz and Twinz.  Some early Daz and Nate Dogg song that recycled some of the same lyrics as JUST DOGGIN, can't remember the name off the top of my head.  And the coolest drop was the Snoop/Lady of Rage song AND IT'S ON.  That was supposed to be on the DEEP Cover Soundtrack but got pulled at the last minute.  I have the cassette tape with that song listed on the cassette, but it's not on there.

But yeah that 5 Footaz album LIFETIME has some dope cuts on it.  DIP feat Nate Dogg was probably the best.  Then i'm assuming you know about their album "The Lost Scrolls" (probably not the official title) that never was released but leaked and had songs like Short Timez feat Roger Troutman and 5 Foot City feat Warren G and Playaz Play feat The Twinz.  That was their original debut album that was supposed to come out after the Twinz album CONVERSATION but never did.  Not sure why.  So they actually had 2 albums in the 90's.  One released and one unreleased.

Big Salute 🫡  I could read these kind of posts all day long… continue if you have anything more…

Early days of internet (still on dial-up) aside from being a simp on AOL instant messenger… I only logged on to check those hiphop sites.  Any others you remember from the late 90’s, those first forums?  Before it really took off with Dre’s album and WCKillaz, official Dre site and the ones that led to dubcc, but before that…

—Eminem’s official site thru undergroundhiphop had exclusive news and leaks of snippets, “Kim” was released way before the album

—DreDay site was huge for me.  I think they also had a forum too and they leaked stuff like “What’s the Difference” Hitman version long before the album dropped

—Eminem’s Bodyrott fan forum where ironically everyone talked shit on Eminem 🙃 bunch of white kids pretending to be black

Man you're really testing my memory here, i wanna say there was a site called WCRYDAZ or something like that i used to go to.  Couple of Pac sites, MrMakaveli.net was one.  Foesum had a website back in the day i used to check out that dropped some exclusive stuff and some interviews.  But yea all those old low quality early Death Row related tracks came from snoops dogghouse and maybe a few others.  They originally were RealPlayer files with the .wma extension.

gfunk2024

There was also the site "The Untouchable Death Row Records"

and Playa G's site...was run by Nino I think.

I remember this fake tracklist for an album that I forget what it was called. Something about LBC. It had an amazing tracklist...too bad it was fake.

chronic overload was another, which i think belonged to Narrator and was hacked by DJ Phiasko

dre2001 forums was where the bulk of the posters who started this site came from .... it was connected to the eminem forum and shared a lot of the same posters

when the "teeny boppers" (what we used to call them) jumped from the eminem forum and started taking over the dre2001 forum, that's when overseer b-please and a few others decided to start dubcc (known as wcc back then)

b-please went on to start siccness, which had its run but is completely dead now

this forum is basically the only one still going from that era

Agreed....more than the Regulate album....that's why i'm thinking this one might be Warren's best work.
