If I remember correctly, this was meant to be one of, if not the first singles released to kickstart the rollout of Bishop Lamont's debut album on Aftermath, The Reformation.

Apparently it leaked out before it was properly finished, and we all know how Dre is when things get out before they should.

I remember at the time hearing that Bishop himself had allowed it to get out there to see how it might be received by radio, fans etc, and it was one of the reasons that Dre never put out Bishop's album.  I don't know how true that is.

Anyway, whenever Bishop Lamont's music from this time is brought up, I always mention how he was 'the one that got away' in terms of Dre's camp, and that had Detox and The Reformation actually been released, things would have turned out very differently.

The Reformation was released in 2016 and is very good.  Most of the production was done by Dre's camp and sounds vintage Dre late 2000's.

If I remember right, Bishop Lamont beefed with the Game, Jay Z and others in Dre's circle and ended up pissing Dre off.

He was definitely talented and had some great songs like No Stopping Carson, Hallelujah w/ Xzhibit.
