In regular games, games move a lot faster, as U.S. people like faster pace games. But the Super Bowl is different, one because every play means so much that a lot of stategy is used, and two, not everyone likes watching the Rams, so why just watch the Rams when you can have funny commercals too. Super Bowl commercals have became a sort of tradition, as many busnesses spend millions of dollars of one 30 second space to grap peoples attention when the whole nation is watching. So for all non football fans, they can watch commercals, all football fans can watch a game, and coaches can fully plain the next play as oppose to having the title determand by quick mistakes for a true winner.

Bullshit.

Football (soccer) is one of the fastest games in the world, with no stoppages at all apart from a 15 minute break at half time.  Baseball and Gridiron are always stopping and starting.

Scoring wise partner. The U.S. likes basketball and football. Baseball is declining is popularity, and Hockey is picking up, but some don't like Ice sports. Football is faster in terms of explosion plays. One play in Football goes fast, as were soccar is paced, like Rugby, and scoring is very limited. U.S. people hate that, that's another reason Hockey is not big. We like lead changes every other minute, upsets, rallies, and comebacks. Soccar rarly provides that.

I don't know why people who love soccer bitch over foorball. Is it some sort of pride thing? I just don't understand it. Most Americans dont mention soccer because they could care less about it. Those who love soccer always complain. Especially the soccer team at my school they always bitch about how they dont get funding when the truth is, no one sees their games so why fund? lol

Maybe because it is clearly the better sport, and is the most popular sport in the world while gridiron is something like the 45th most popular sport, and still you have the nerve to call it soccer when it's called football

The bottom line is we don't like 0-0, 2-1, 1-1 scores. Come on. People in the U.S. like good old fashion comebacks, ralleys, blow outs, a true winner in a game. Why do you think hockey has never truly caught on, yet baseball in popular still. 'Cause you can score a grip of points in baseball. Why is it that basketball is the number one sport in the United States, 'cause you can score 10 points in one minute. You can be down 8 points with 10 seconds, and still win (Reggie Miller vs. Knicks). We like that, 3-0 blow outs aren't fun compared to sports that allow a team to comeback. More scoring, bottom line.

I dunno..Football is probably the biggest sport in America..The superbowl has 40 times the commercials as a regular game. And the reason they wear pads is because we would have a shit load of dead people for love of the sport..Have you seen the size of a lineman compared to a rugby(usually the size of NFL kickers)They are usually skinny tall pussys..They would easily get crushed.
