Football has been played worldwide for over a hundred years, it belongs to everyone who plays/watches/supports it, whoever they are, wherever they are, thats part of the glory of the sport IMO.

It doesn't belong to 'us'

It belongs to the whole World

Thus when we have a World Cup we have teams from every continent - Australasia will get a place in the next one.

Unlike 'World Series' consisting of 14 US teams and 2 Canadian teams.

So I would be happy that it gets love in the States

BTW the US national team is now rated in the latest FIFA rankings as 8th in the World.

tha world series does not consist of 14 teams an 2 canadian teams.  it consist of one team from tha american league an one team from tha national league.  there is a total of 30 teams total.  from each league 4 teams make tha playoff.  they have a best of 5 game series.  tha winners move on 2 play each other in a 7 game series in order to determine which team represents there league in tha world series.  than in tha world series its a 7 game series

all the kids that play at my school are of 100% Latino or Euro decent..The foriegn exchange kids from UK are on the team..What a bunch of pussys if i ever saw some.

id like to see this statistic where it says soccer is 2nd most popular 2 play.  also,  all my lil brothers friends played soccer up untill tha age of 8.  in high school no1 gave a fuck about tha soccer team
