This album certainly is not as bad as people make it out to be.  It's just like how people treat Nas' Nastradamus.  I swear people just hear "Hey Luv" and "You Owe Me" and conclude the album is trash.  Maybe it's because both artists have solid classic material before and it's a let-down but both these albums are 8/10 to me.

Redman's Malpractice is probably in the same boat as these two.

Yeah I agree, I wouldn't call those albums trash...just a bit below par compared to their other releases...I still like them a lot

the thing is...the worst work to come out of mobb deep or nas is still way better than half the artists out there. even the worst shit to come from them is above average.

I don't know....with the exception of "Big girl" and "Shoot 'em up", I did not like Nastradamus at all....

Many people say that "infamy" was their worst album cuz of 2 reasons.

1. Shitty ass production

2. Prodigy

I gotta agree with this...after droppin murda muzik...which was a pretty dope album...they come up with this bullshit...this album really dissapointed me...

So many things where to start  ??? ... One problem was Chris 'Lightly' had waay too much creative control and influence over the project. I read about it in some source or XXL, he would be in the sessions with them putting his input in on how songs should sound etc. That right there is what fucked up the album from a directional standpoint.

As far as production, I think 90% of that was Havoc's neglect of the SP-808 or whatever he uses as a sampler. You look at all the past Mobb albums and all you find tons of samples in every song, but with this album there are only a few noticeable sampled records and they seem to come more from the outside producers.

Lyrics... all prodigy. Who knows what was going on with that. Maybe too much  8)

All and all was a decent album. I’d put it above “juvenile hell” any day.
