Former VP of Urban Music at Bayside Distribution forms The Label Group, Inc.

Tucson, AZ - July 23, 2003 – Brandon C. Rodegeb p.k.a. B-12, former VP of Urban Music at Bayside Entertainment Distribution (a wholly owned subsidiary of retail giant Tower Records) has formed his own company, The Label Group, Inc.  Formerly based in Sacramento, CA, The Label Group, Inc. has relocated to Tucson, AZ.

After leaving Bayside Entertainment Distribution in November of 2002, B-12 decided to take some time off from working for another distributor or record label and recognized the void for good label management in the industry.  The Label Group, Inc. is the first company of its kind in the independent urban music genre to offer label management, marketing, distribution and consulting.

The Label Group, Inc. has secured pressing and distribution deals for 40 Ounce Records (Jay Tee, N2DEEP, Latino Velvet) and Money Hungry Entertainment (I-Rocc, Luni Coleone, Ecay Uno).  The Label Group’s impressive and diverse roster of clients includes and has included Yukmouth of The Luniz, Celly Cel, 2Pac’s Outlawz, platinum R&B sensation Rome, and many others.

The Label Group, Inc. has also partnered with Murder Dog Magazine to form Murder Dog Marketing and Blood Rush Entertainment, an all encompassing entertainment marketing company.  In addition to these many ventures, The Label Group, Inc. has equity interest in RapMap.com, a multi-media company which operates it’s website and will publish and release several music business “How To” books and DVDs as well as produce and promote music industry seminars, workshops and conventions.

B-12 is currently an on-air personality on Tucson’s Hot 98.3 Radio and also tours and performs with his rap group N2DEEP.  In his spare time, Brandon is a practicing Roman Catholic and a devoted husband and father.

Mr. Rodegeb is currently available for interviews and appearances to discuss the current state of independent rap and his newly formed company.  Any interested web sites or publications can contact The Label Group, Inc. at (707) 631-2650 for more information.
