Good move for both Rio and United, but Ridsdale held you to ransom on the asking price.

It's only too much money if you can't afford it

Check this back five now, pretty good:

                     Carroll

Neville G     Blanc       Ferdinand     Silvestre

BTW it's almost certain that Carroll is number 1 now.  We beat Shelbourne 5 - 0 yesterday and everyone had their squad numbers on their new shirts and Carroll had number 1.  Plus on the new season tickets their is loads of pics of Carroll and none of Barthez.

Dam feel sorry for barthez hes a great keeper, so he fucks up sometimes, what keeper doesnt.  Hes such a good keeper, better than Carol.  Sorry bud that back 5 seems weak to me.

The way I see it is that we had the 8th best defence last season.  We've got rid (probably) of an unstable keeper and added England and possibly Europe's best defender to our side.  We scored far more goals than anyone else and as long as we concede 10 less goals we'll win the title.

U can say that about n e 1 tho, as long as

Arsenal
Newcastle
Liverpool
Chealsea
Everton
Charlton

dont conceed 10 goals you are saying they will win the league.

This is presuming every other team stays and plays exactly the same as last season, typical Man Utd arrogance, the same as displayed throughout last season, i thought you might've been humbled by losing the title at Old Trafford.

Nope

I'm saying as long as our attack is as good as last season and as long as our defence improves by 8 goals then we'll win the league.

And Joachim I expect Arsenal to be fairly similar as you have pretty much the same team, only one slight change to the team while we have made a major change.

Arsenal wont be the same team as last year, as hopefully we'll have our first team fit throughout the season unlike last season, the only first team players consistently fit last year were Campbell, Lauren, Henry, Bergkamp, Pires and Vieira, thats six first team players yet we still done the double. Hopefully we'll have our whole squad fit and ready and if we do, im confident we'll win the league again.

You weren't the only ones with an injury crisis.

You are essentially the same team.  You know that and I know that.

I never claimed we were the only team with an injury crisis, but please be my guest and name a team who suffered a bigger injury crisis.

Again, we will not be the same team if we have our whole first team fit throughout the season, we will undeniably be alot stronger.

U r totally forgeting something.  Both of you.  There are 18 more teams in the league that could win it. its not all about Man utd and Arsenal this season.  I think every team has really got a chance of doing well. I aitn saying a team like Charlton can win it cos that unrealistic but teams that have spent big this season such as BOLTON are underdogs and I think they will give teams trouble next season.

Newcastle
Leeds
Chealsea
Liverpool

Its not all about you 2 teams.
