i would like to think that some of it is genuine but even if is was fictional, like what everyone else has said, you can learn a lot from reading it    

That's the best thing that's been said on here.  I think the bible's power over people, and it's distribution througout history also says a lot for it.  It's a pretty good book, and pretty powerful to be totally fake.
