My team, the Lakers traded their draft pick and Lindsey Hunter to toronto for Kareem Rush and Tracy Murray. I question this trade a little cause now we don't have a back up point guard????

Tracy is tha man we need: he's a pure shooter, and we need him a lot, expecially since we will probably loose D.George (Free Agent). So SF position is now fixed, bot in defence (Fox) and in offence (Murray). And Rush is a very smooth player, good decision maker who plays under control. One of the best jump shooters in the college game today. So our 3pts shot is fixed, with Fisher, Murray, Rush, Fox, Horry and Shaw.

As the backup PG, we still got B.Shaw, men! Dont forget about him. He was been the real playmaker last year!! I mean.. the only one with the real mind of a leader, a playmaker. Ok, maybe we need another one, and we will probably get him, but...

i'm EXCITED from this move! HUNTER was a nobody, and we got Rush & Murray for him! WOW!

I agree. The Artest for Rose trade was been one of the dumbest in Krause's career. Damn.. Artest is arguably the best defender in his role in the whole NBA! And he's still 23. While Rose is just "a good scorer", like 30 others in the NBA, IMO. Plus he's 30. Mmmmmmm.. I feel sorry for Bulls fans, but at least he didnt do the dumbest EVER not chosing Jay W. ;D

Naw.. i think Bulls chosed extremely well in this draft. A+.

LAKERS... where's the back-up Center we need? >:(

Murray and Rush are pure shooters, scorers. SG and SF. It's ok, since we will probably loose George, but.. we still need a PG and a C imo.

LAKERS problem is that our starters are really "STARTERS". I mean.. they play 90% of the game, expecially in the Play-Offs. We need to reduce 90% to 70-80%. And we cant reduce Shaq's minutes and Horry's minutes if their subs are Walker and Medvedenko. :-/

I think next year Phil will try Kobe PG. At least for some minutes of the game, not as a starter. That's my opinion. And that's why we dont have another PG imo. Shaw and Bryant are ok, expecially since Kobe got 2 good subs in Murray and Rush.

What do you all think about it?

Remember Phil already tried Kobe as a PG last season, in some games (some minutes). Plus he can defend on other PG with no problems (see Bibby or Iverson)

jus to add to it, I guarantee that the Bulls will win a couple of championships by the end of this decade.  why?  They have 2 7 footers starting next to each other in a conference that has NO ONE who can stop Shaq, and as long as Shaq is around, he will be the most dominant player in the league.  Plus, Williams can score, and someone WANTING to play for the Bulls helps their morale.  Rose gves them a scorer.  Their coach was the starting center for the Bulls during their first threepeat, so he knows a thing or two about winning and can share that with the younger kids.  This is a team to watch out for in the next couple of years.

About the draft, I'm shocked that The Cavs didn't move Andre Miller during the draft, especially since they got Dujan Wagner.  This would enable them to throw away next year, hoping to get Lebron Butler str8 from high school with the #1 pic, since he's supposedly the Next Kobe.  I'm convinced Larry Brown has no fuckin clue how to deal with Iverson, because they not only traded away a shooter, which they desperately needed, but they also traded away Speedy Claxton, which suprised me, since I thought Eric Snow was gonna go.  Brown needs someone to come into Philly and smack Iverson around and deflate his ego.  Another team with no fuckin clue is the Clippers.  I can see why they drafted a power forward to back up Elton Brand, but why did they use 2 lottery picks on power forwards?  Are they that scared they are gonna lose Elton Brand to free agency?  Donald Sterling should sell the team to someone that cares about winning so that they can be a force in the NBA.  Overall, I think the big winners are the Bulls, Warriors, Rockets, Wizards, and Nuggets.  The big losers of the draft were the 76ers, Clippers, Knicks, and Jazz (they need to get it thru their heads that Stockton and Malone aren't getting any younger and need to find apprentices to them).

One consideration, and i'm proud about it.

ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP is the place to be if you wanna see some young talents!

2 of the first 15 players of this draft came from an italian team, Benetton Treviso.

Sasha Danilovic, Rasho Nesterovic, Ginobili, and Jaric came from another italian team, Kinder Bologna. And even Olowokandi played there.

Lee Nailon came from Olimpia Milan.

Tony Kukoc came from Benetton Treviso.

Dino Radja from Roma.

Bryan Shaw was been launched by Roma too, in 1990.

Kobe Bryant, you all know that, is half italian and he started to play basketball in Italy.

Shit, i dont remember other players, but i'm sure missing a lot! Expecially young players. EUROPE is the future, and ITALY is the place to watch. Not because of Italians (Italians doesnt want to go to the NBA), but because of young talents from all Europe.
