umm a very long time ago.. i know it was originally based around a military network called something like arapanet... but as we know it today.. not quite sure.. i only really heard about it in 1996/97 when i started where i work.. back then hardly any one was online, and at work we could only use it for short periods.. and we used to share one modem between all of us... crazy shit.. altho really there wasnt much to do.. didnt bother getting a connection at home until 1998... it was kinda quiet still.. shits blown up in the last 3 years tho.
like i remember when no one knew what mp3s were really.. lol

Anyway i got net access at home when i went to university in 96... i remember using the net in 93/4 was earliest time

...was weird tho completely different...if ya wanted to find something out chances are you could just type it in and so little junk around youd find what your looking for straight away...

yeah thats really true.. its weird.. like the 'old' top west coast sites look real bad these days, but I remember when they were the shit!

before the 'net in like 93/94 i also remember using BBSs! that was nuts!.. finding numbers all over the country to call up and download stuff from other peoples machines.. none of this message board lark.. it was just lists of files.. crazy days.. remember runing up a large phone bill one time.. hell that was using an Amiga.. maybe before I even had a PC
