Question about Young Buck
« on: October 03, 2003, 08:29:26 AM »
This was posted on the Cash Money forum, but I never knew about this...

Youngbuck was with UTP but was legally signed to Cash Money Records as Baby refused to release him from his contract and threatened to sue him if he went ahead and signed with UTP...then he met 50 Cent, and told him his situation.

50 Then Called Baby and offered Baby 750 000 dollars to release him from his contract..which he agreed to...

That's how it went..Youngbuck was LEGALLY a Cash Money artist even though he was with UTP

Is this true?

Yea, he was with UTP, and I'd assume that he and Skip were both with Juvenile while he was on Cash Money, so it doesn't seem to farfetched. But, yea, Young Buck was Juveniles artist, that's how I knew him. 50 should've signed Skip, he's got way more talent.

Skip is definetly better than Buck, but I still think Buck's a pretty dope rapper.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
