waddup,
yeah i finally found those 2 Hi-C's, unfortunately I paid a little more than I wanted to, but i said fuck it, thats like the last out of print old school shit i been looking for. found skanless on half.com for $30, and swing'n for $33 at amazon. prolly could of got swing'n cheaper, but i wanted to get them both at the same time and i've seen the other prices on skanless and there pretty ridiculous, from $50 to $100 brand new, this one said like new: cd, cover, case in excellent condition. i also found out recently (or have been led to believe) that Dazzie Dee's first album, sumthin like "Where's My Receipt" was actually re-released as "Re-Birth." so i guess i can stop looking for it, seems like everybody and there mama keeps finding promo copies used. i think i'm gonna head over to V.I.P. soon and pick up that IV Life Underground Vol. 1, my homeboy lives over in Torrance, unless i wait for their site to slang it with paypal. let me know if they got it when you go, or i'll give them a ring. also holla at me if you still wanna hook up on that planet asia. peace!!!

that Paris album is pretty hard to find, same for the Domino album. I wanna get more Domino, all I have is his self-titled one which is one of my fave albums.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...
Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
