There hasn't been any solid news about this whole situation.

Has XXL, The Source, Murder Dog or any of the mags reported on this at all?

The Source reported it (probably had a field day when they heard).

I was thinkin' about it yesterday actually...

As far as I'm concerned, Dre personally owes the hip-hop community an explanation, if not an apology.

i heard it was either Rawkus or Dreamworks, then i heard it was Roc-A-Fella. Anyways, niggas got Hi-Tek, large Professor, Primo and Dr.Dre beats on his album.

What ever happend to dat "Dreams Come True" shit, only the beat leaked out, i wonder if they did verses for it.

"Dream Come True" is just the instrumental to Lil' Kim's "Drugs".  Someone just labeled it like that on KaZaA.

Oddly enough there's been no news lately. I would rather hear Premo & LP producing a Ra album as opposed to Dre, altho I would like to hear a few Dre tracks. I also wonder is Ra will still do a track with Quik because the first collab they did together was tight.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

It's not like Large Professor is the 2nd disciple of hiphop, but anways:

Nobody knows jack shit about the Rakim situation.
Nobody is willing to comment on it.
There's been more rumours about Rakim signing to whatever label then SOHH could ever think of.

So basically we're down to: Nobody knows anything.

Why would he leave Aftermath to sign with Rawkus?  They are even worse than Aftermath about releasing albums.  Rakim has put out an album more recently than Mos Def and Pharoahe Monch.
