Isn't it produced by Kanye West? Thought I heard something like that.

He rejected Premo's beats but the Neptunes are on this? I thought Jay-Z was smart.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

If this is a Black Album (which it obviously isn't anymore, the whole concept has been thrown away) then he shouldn't have a single or any promotion. You'd think with Jay-Z who will sell regardless would just be pure hip-hop on his last album.

what i dont understand is...if he wants to take it back to the days when he first started out...why the hell is he using neptunes beats...as many said before...every idea he had for this album has been thrown out...i like this track but from what im hearing im not looking forward to much else on this cd (except the 9th wonder track)
