World Cup Group E
« on: May 06, 2002, 04:07:14 AM »
Germany
Ireland
Cameroon
Saudi Arabia

This group is very tight for 1, 2 and 3rd place

Saudi are definitely gonna finish last

It's too close to call the top 3

Cameroon are the best team in Africa

I'd like to think it'd be Ireland followed by Cameroon
But you can never write off the Germans

Cameroon should win the group, its a toss up between Ireland and Germany for second.

Germany are inconsistant, but they cant be written off, they can still play.

1. Germany (simply the best team ni this group)
2. Ireland (with a in-form Roy Keane on the team, they'll go through)
3. Cameroon
4. Saudi Arabia

Cameroon and Saudi Arabia stand no chance against Germany & Ireland.

Roy Keane is good.. but hardly the best player right now... he's gonna avoid the other countries to score 4 goals... insted the'll score 1-2 goals ... but they will still win...

I honestly think that Cameroon will be too strong for all the other teams in the group and will finish top.
I'm gonna say Ireland second cause I like them, and they have got a few good players.
Germany in a close third because they can't deal with pace, which Cameroon certainly have, as do Ireland a bit.
Even though they might suprise us (Like USA 94, that goal against Belgium) I think that Saudi Arabia will probably finish bottom.

Yea.
Even if the Germans had their problems, they'll come strong in tournaments.

Remember that horrendous Alf-Inge Haaland tackle in last season's United vs. City game at Old Trafford? As you all (probably) know, that was Keane's revenge for Haaland injuring him badly in the late 96/97 season... (Keane missed almost the entire 97/98 season, and Arsenal won the title)... I wouldn't say he was on top of his game in that United vs. City match... that's just one example ;D
