« on: May 12, 2002, 06:51:37 AM »
Has anyone in baseball accomplished this? Which is i think better than hittin 70 HR's. I think Dimmiago hit .360 or around there. during his 56 game hittin streak.

I belive the last man to accomplish .4OO avg was "Ted Williams"

Ted WIlliams hit (.406) 1941

Check out this website homie...it has all of his stats.
http://shakti.trincoll.edu/~jcooper2/TedWilliams/TEDFRAMES.htm

That's a bad dude right there..
I don't watch baseball much anymore, so if someone did it in the last couple of years, in this time and age when pitching is fucc'in awful player's on steroids and juiced up ball's....then I don't know or care, this guy played when Baseball was a sport not a freakshow. IMO

Peace

tha last guy to even come close to htting 400 was tony gwynn,  he hit i think 392 in 1994.  I dont know whats harder though,  hitting 400 or a 56 game hitting streak.  I dont think were ever see another 400 hitter again b/c every player swings for tha fences now.
