The industry is too watered down to have any classic album.

A new album to be even considered classic needs to reinvent the whole genre.

LOL @ Classic. Shit's not nearly as good as I hoped. Lloyd Banks needs to rap about something, 50's wack as ever & the production bored me.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

No one would buy eastsidaz albums if snoop wasn’t on them. Even now that they're established and onto LP #3, if it was just Tray Dee and Goldie they wouldn’t sell 50 thousand units. Itt'd be you, some euro kids and maybe a few thousand west coast cats no one else. This day and age the west's stock is worth nothing.
As far as eminem, where do you see him interfering with up and coming artists careers? lol, I think he should have been on the album and not to was stupid for a number of reasons..  just from a marketing standpoint alone having one Em appearance will increase sales and introduce the album to the burbs with more ease, especially since this album was destine to do mediocre compared to GRODT. Besides eminem is an incredible rapper and 50 is an incredibly popular rapper so the two just seem right.
