Atmosphere questions.
« on: January 10, 2004, 03:26:00 AM »
I'm not sure if there'd be many Atmosphere fans in here but if there is i have a question regarding an unamed track i have.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the name and where it's from exactly.

Here's some lyrics from different parts of said track....

And i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho
And i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho
And i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho
And i heeve for them hoes...

As we approach another eve, Momentum starts to slow.
Finally took the lead, now it's just me and this drow.
And my car and my keys, and my thoughts and my woes...
Although i'm low on currency, Got enough to pay the tolls.
Never stop to sleep...

Every woman is a queen, every man is a joke.
Some funny some cheap, some smart enough to choke...
She said she loved speed, because it's twice as cheap as coke.

Help me out if you can.

Also, is there anyone who can tell me who D.Walters is?

Thankyou, i do like Atmosphere, but most of their older stuff i have on Mp3, ryhmesayers artists have terrible distribution here.

Anyways, the song itself is very laidback, i guess that's no big clue with Atmosphere though, what sounds like a horn sample over a slow beat...that heeve and ho part is repeated at the chorus.

And i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho, and i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho, and i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho, and i heeve for them hos...

As we approach another eve, momentum starts to slow
Finally took the lead, now it's just me and this drow
And my car and my keys, and my thoughts and my woes
Although i'm low on currency, I got enough to pay the tolls
Never stop to sleep, i'm afraid of getting (?), just the mirror and the sea
Turn up the AM radio
In the egg of the beast, it's her veins i follow

I'll type up more laters when i come back on, i've looked through lyrics from lucy ford, glu and the overcast albums but i cant seem to find it....

Some more of the lyrics...

embrace the grief, provoke me to grow
chase the geese all across the grassy knoll
and i gave up the beef, it was distractin my flow
and traded my release, for a six pack of (?)
raise the seeds and teach em how to grow
keep thier brains at ease, and the blood pressure low
and the stains on my sleeve, directions i go
like the colour of the leaf, between the sun and the snow

and i heeve and i ho, heeve and i ho, and i heeve and i ho, i heeve and i ho, and i heeve and i ho, and i heeve for them hos..

biography i read piece by piece it unfolds
it's time to cut her free, before she helps me explode
from the birds to the bees to the bodies that are sold
the secrest that you keep, the tales that you told

And lol, i did browse quickly through some solo Slug lyrics, nothing that resembled this did i find though...but lol, all i know it as is track 10.

It might be something from some obscure compilation?I'm going to check in that way anyways...i really like this song...

I got all their official albums too, but don't recognize the lyrics either. Probably it's from one of those many Slug-bootlegs. If so, it probably had no name on the bootleg too, some unreleased stuff or something like that.

If I were you I would call it "Heeve & Ho" 8) :D

:)!!!

http://www.tinymixtapes.com/articles/03.10.06_slug.htm

11. “untitled”
appears on: Slug - Sad Clown Bad Dub I; various live recordings

Sometimes called “Watch the Coals,” other times labeled “A Heave and a Ho,” this sing-songy tune was a show closer for a period of time. Never actually recorded, but rumored to be released on the first Sad Clown tape as a live version, Slug exercises his technical MC skills on this song. The song starts with the line: “as we approach another eeeeeve, momentum starts to slow.” This rhyme pattern following the long “e” and long “o” sound lasts the length of the song. And content isn’t sacrificed either.
