Earth Wind & Fire - Promise - Any good?

I'm sure there's a few EW&F fans on this forum. I've been hesitant to pick up the album that dropped not too long ago, Promise. Anyone know if it's any good? I need to know because it's a little expensive. Maybe someone can hook me up with a track or two?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

It's pretty good.

I'd get their older stuff first... But thats just me.

Yeah I'm into their older stuff, but I've read mixed reviews about this one. If it's half as good as their old stuff I'll pick it up. Thanks.

I'm gonna pop it in right now... I think I may have just been fiending for a new EWF album...

There are some dope tracks on there...

From what I remember it starts off kinda strong, then fades as it goes on...
