Light Speed & Space Boogie
« on: October 03, 2001, 11:04:06 PM »
hey i been listening Dre's LIght Speed alot these days and discovered something, Im not sure though. but i checked out Light SPeed # 9 on 2001 and then Space Boogie track # 2 on Space Boogie and noticed they got something similar in the backround, its the gfunk gangsta flute or whatever its called. i think fred wreck got this from the light speed song, just like Battlecat used that thing at the beginning of Bounce Rock Golden State, he took it from Lets Get High

I Think What Happened Was This: Dre Told Everybody He Was Kinda Workin' With Fredwreck, Honin His Skills, Showin' Him Tricks ANd THings.  I Think Either Fred Helped Dre Do Light Speed, And Then Used Another Mix For Space boogie (Which Remember, Kurupt Said Was Recorded When The Streetz Album Was) Or Dre Told Fred To Rework Lightspeed Or Remix It As Like A Learning Experience, Then He Turned It Into Space Boogie.

Peace

it's just a g-funk standard that has been around since the late NWA days...it's on NWA's always into somethin and that 91...come on now...but i'm pretty sure it was dre originated...wwwwwaaaaaaita fuckin minute...i think it was actually from 70's p-funk tooo...it might be on Parliament's Flashlight or some Ohio Players or something but even if so,dre most likely brought it into rap...peace-Tanjint

Yeah, I think Trauma's on to sumthin' here. It's cool how Dre got these protege's, and then they start pickin' up on him. Fred Wreck is mad tight, but he sounds a little simple sometimes. Like on the Dum Ditty Doo-track. It sounds like a amateur could have made it, but it's still cool though.
