name the best movies (in your opinion) in a genre.....the genre can be as broad as "Action" or as narrowed down as "comic spoof"

Action: Kiss Of The Dragon
Comedy: Airplane
Sci Fi: Alien
Drama: 187
Horror: Hellraiser

Comedy: How High
Sci-Fi: Lord Of The Rings (All 3) (arent really sci fi but closest genre for them)
Drama: American History X
Horror: House Of 1000 Corpses (im prolly the only one who will list that)
Documentary: Bowling For Columbine

Action: Lethal Weapon movies
Comedy:too many to name but prolly Screwed
Sci-Fi: Harry Potter!!!
Drama: Blood In Blood out, Colors, American Me, and other gangster and mafia movies
Horror: Freddy movies, the new TCM
Documentary: anyone that has to do about murderers and serial killers

Action: Terminator 2
Comedy: Dumb & Dumber
Sci-Fi: Alien
Family: The Goonies
Drama: As Good As It Gets


Those are just off the top of my head...But all those movies are classics.

Probably the 80 version, the 97 one was wack....whenever someone mentions the shining, they usually are always referring to the 80 version

I hope you know hardcore "Shining" fans prefer the later version, since Stephen King (author of the book) hated Stanley Kubrick's take on the book...That's why a second one was made, because Stephen King hated the original so much, as it hadn't stayed true to the novel...I prefer the 1980 version, but I know a lot of hardcore fans prefer the '97 version, seeing that it was made how Stephen King intended it to be...PeACe

steven king hated the originial with jack nicolson? is the new 1 by kubrik also.

agree, also for action terminator 2 was good, and gangster, scarface or casino
