Oh yah, don't forget to mention they have a land speed of about 12 MPH with those long legs, and their eyes focus on things that move quickly, so if you run away from one, you'd better be an all-star sprinter or it'll not only chase you, but it will catch you and run up your back and latch on with those jaws.

They also like shade, so if you see one outside, they will often follow you around to stay in your shadow. That's why most people decide to run away from them.

My friend was telling me about these!

He's in Iraq right now and I guess they run around and jump on bottoms of camels cause they HATE the sun. They'll also chase you like you posted up!

He said they aren't, but they eat insects, small birds, and lizards...

It's not really a spider either, it's called a "solifugid" I guess...

One of the best stories he told me was when he was walking from his radar station back to barracks and he coulda swore the spider  was stalking him. It'd wait in the tents shadow, and then run after him, then scatter off to another shadow. Then run after him again. Followed him all the way around the base. Then he killed it.
