thought i'd create a thread for this!


to be honest, i'm expecting a bit of a boring game in some ways.

either side may attempt to slow the game pace down to help defence.

both teams have strong offence so they'll both have a big emphasis on defense. now... any chinks in that will tip the game.

france is gonna be a real test BUT it also gives both teams a tactical advantage going through the group coz the hardest games outta the way

the other thing is the players know each other, lots of em play in the english leagues.. people like rooney are known threats. whereas against other teams they dont know much about him.

whats interesting to me is that in our papers we havent had a lot of slagging off of the french, we actually had thierry henry in our papers saying he fears owen and rooney... wtf?!  owen is gunning for top scorer in the tournment to take henry's crown (and prob give himself a pay rise).

I cant even call this one but I'll try.  I think France will take the lead through Viera at around 25/30 mins mark.  Owen will hit one back for us just before half time after some good work from Rooney.  Then at around 70 mins somebody from the middle like Scholes or Lampard will score and we will win the game 2-1!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is a threat man, we have lampard, scholes, owen, rooney, beckham, gerrard...they are all threats man...just like the way France have henry, Trez, Zidane, Viera, Pires, all threats!

Desially aint playing, rooney and owen would cut him to shreads, the france manager knows that.  I think King will be ok, he's not experienced but it dont mean shit really.  All he has to do is go in there and play like he usually does, well!.  I think its gunna be a tight game!
