for anyone who heard the new devin album

what  is he talking about on the song " the briar patch"  ?    or in any case what does that mean . its a tight ass song but i dont know what hes' refering to.  anyone?

It's an old 'fairy tale' about a character called B'rer Rabbit. A fox caught him and B'rer Rabbit told him to kill him any way he wanted, as long as he didn't throw him in the briar patch. So the fox threw him in the briar patch because he though it would be the one thing he didn't want - but the rabbit actually grew up in the briar patch so he got away.

Don't ask me what the fuck Devin means by using it though... :-\ ;)
