There's people who "dreams", and people who is realistic. People who "dreams" is continuing to say stuff like:

- We're still the best.
- International game is different.
- We just should have called Redd and we were unbeatable.
- Our 4th team is better than them all.
- We dont need to prove we're the best.

I see things clearly, in my eyes. I see the most rated teams in the Olympics games are Lithuania, Spain and Argentina. Not USA. Bookmakers aint even giving them a chance for a medal. I see the most loved champions from the tournment are not Americans. They are Gasol, Yao, Jasikievicius, Bodiroga, S.Heal, Ginobili, Pozzecco, Stombergas, etc.. And it's too bad Turkey, France and Germany aint there, cause they have other stars like Turkoglu, Okur, Parker, Nowitsky, etc.. Yeah you read it right: i'm not talking about USA players being the superstars of the Olympics games. I'm talking about non-Americans. I see USA team has lost by 17 with Italy and by 19 with Puerto Rico. Good teams, maybe (if they're there, they good). But not dominating forces. Against Germany, Greece, Turkey twice, Serbia and Australia, USA has won by less than 10 points, only in the last quarter or in the last shoot, celebrating it (yes you read it right: CELEBRATING it). They are in the wackest group possible, group B (with Angola and Puerto Rico who were eliminated already before the Olympics in the polls of every forums of the net). Now USA has to win all the games to not be in troubles, since Puerto Rico has the same record (1-2) they have.

Man I remember about 1992, man. I remember about it for real. I was there (i've seen other games live, but still i was in Barcelona, i was with common people talking about it). In 1992 the world was shocked!!!! USA was not only the best team, but they were martians against humans. Jordan alone was enought to litterally SCARE all the opponent players. And there were just 2-3 NBA Players in other teams.

Now i see there are more NBA Players from the other nations than from the USA Team! First time ever, probably.

The best players of the tournment are not Americans.
The ALL-Olympics team has no Americans.

In 1992 USA was the (only?) show.

Look at it for what it is. No excuses. Could you immagine those things in 1992? People waiting to see a final without USA? USA loosing by 17 and 19? People saying "let's call NCAA players back! So even if the loose, we will not get dissed".

I love the hate you guys give the U.S. team. All we needed was one simple person to play, and he was but a little court case got in the way. You all know who I'm talking about, and right now the world would bow to his feet. Add the MDE, along with Duncan and Iverson now, and already the world looks at the U.S. team different. You guys knock us like our basketball players are getting worst. Your comparing a group of guys who aren't even 25, to fucking legends. Magic, Jordan, Bird, the greatest team that ever was put together. Now every country is catching, that's great. That means basketball is a popular world wide sport. Like baseball, who expects the U.S. to win a medal in baseball when it's our sport. Granted if our team included Bonds and Maddox, then we would be better, but honestly, the best players in MLB are from different countries anyway. So what you have is the sport spreading, and others doing well, that's great for the game. So what if the U.S. ain't doing well. Get over it, I still root for AI to cross over the European players, but I'm an American, born and raised, and I want to see my innercity heros run over the world. If another team wins, fine. But the world should be on Kobe watch, because he was the first to throw his hat in to play, and the first get leave once he catch a case. Take your medal, it's all good. Bring the hate, but it's better for the game if it can be proven the best players don't come from the U.S. The difference, just say Kobe, and you'll see a whole different U.S. team.
