The Best Anti-Spyware/adware Programs Tested in big test

20 different spyware programs was tested to see which is best..
They tested a PC with 425 spyware/adware/dialers/trojans to see how many each program could find.

Here's the 10 best:

Ad-Aware SE - 231

PC Tools Spyware doctor - 171
Intermute Spysubtract pro - 169
McAfee AntiSpyware - 163

(GIANT is a pay program)

They concluded: DO NOT USE IE if you want to avoid spyware/adware/dialers/trojans.
Besides avoiding IE, they recommended to use more than 1 program, since none of them can find all.

fuckin awesome programs though.. Spy Sweeper scans everything and catches pretty much everything I find

Where did you get this report from Jome?  Personally Adaware, Spybot and Spywareblaster(immunizer) work best for me and have never let me down.  I will look into Giant though. 

Update:  I have tried Giant Antispyware.(unlocked, full version) and I must say, it's pretty efficient, the GUI is user friendly, the scans are quick, it does what it says and the extra features are quiet nice.  It seems more thorough, for instance if you have Kazaa installed, it'll actually clean it out entirely I think, and not just remove the spyware bundled with it.  Gotta be careful though, those using programs such as Kazaa but along with Diet Kazaa(which removes the spyware from kazaa and runs it) should be perceptive enough to not accidentally remove the entire program.  But yeah, it's definately effective.  Those who are willing to spend a little money, or search for a crack should give it a try.

It's big as fuck, so I went straight to the results.. lol
There's different test result pages for each test, but the one I posted Digi.no put all the scores from the different tests together and found out the total scores.

I use Ad-Aware, it works pretty well... I should try some of this other shit though 'cause i sure as hell know it doesn't pick up everything.
