best diss track since 2000?
« on: December 18, 2004, 12:20:02 PM »
even though i dont know what "the real hiphop" is im goin to say ova here by krs one. sure, no one boycotted nellys album because of what krs said, and it didnt effect nellys career in the least bit, but krs proved to everyone that he had not fallen off.

Yo Nelly! You ain't *Fo'Reel* and you ain't *Universal*
Your whole style sounds like a N'Sync commercial
Ignoramus, I'm the baddest with the mic apparatus
Challengin the God of rap is madness, I'll snatch your status

You bite my style off the radio so when you speak it back I hear the static
You better Chillout like Chuck, I kick like three Norrises
One of my sixteen bar rhymes is eight of your choruses

I told you I wasn't talkin about you then, but I'm talkin about you now!
Blaow! one to the kness, blaow! one goes right through
Even St. Louis don't like you!!!!
I ain't little but vicious, guns no misses You feel me, kisses or wishes, fore I break you up like dishes Fuck your bosses, my forces, endorses To kill all your sources y'all niggas best be cautious No losses, my fortress, is Jaguars and Porsche's Ride the OTB to check my money on the horses My horrors is flawless, my block one of the broadest Off the main attraction for them whitey ass tourists That I tosses, it scorches, with out no remorses Leave they bloody body to be found in Mount Morris

Without stating the obvious Takeover or Ether, one and two on any list and not exactly in the order I wrote them in.

3rd, Malcolm X - Royce da 5'9. Even though I think the Royce/D-12 battler was a straight publicity stunt that failed and I expect Royce and Eminem to one day do music together, any song calling D-12 Ninja Turtles has to be listed. I died laughing at that line, a great diss all around and Royce says things that we all think about D-12.

Masta Ace - "Acknowledge"
Eminem - "Nail In The Coffin"

They were both going after shitty opponents but both tracks were flawless.

CalebOhio: I think i can speak for many others when i say my favorite rap artists are white but i still want black artists to be dope. they are chosing not to be. that wouldn't be a likely believe held in a white supremacist group. I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.

Lets see here...Either Royce's Malcolm X, Dre's verse on "Shit hits the fan", or Cam's "Stan" diss to Nas...
