THE RED SHARK CONTEST (no entry fee, crazy prizes)

Yo what up producers and MC's?? Ok, the time has come to bless ya'll with another Neblina contest! This time we are doing a song battle in conjunction with our next release, "Fear and Loathing: Riding with DJ Resident", a crazy new mixtape featuring Res's production work, K-Hill, Chapter 13, Manov War, banging new Neblina exclusives and more.

See, THE RED SHARK is the red Cadillac DJ Res drives and is where his twisted brain is most creative. There is no entry fee for you to get in. Getting out is where you may find a problem, heh heh.

We will randomly pair 2 MC's with 1 producer to see who makes the hottest song. DJ Res will provide you with all samples (drums, sounds, waves, etc). No rules except you must use the drums & the sample we supply as a MAIN sample and that each MC drops a verse.

Remember - we love creativity and you will be rewarded for it. Entries will be judged on final mix, lyrics, beat, song structure, etc. Make it polished!

Here is all the info you need to get started.

1) No entry fee
2)  We will randomly pair up 2 MC's to 1 producer and they will be responsible for creating a song with the samples provided by DJ Resident. You may use what you like, and have the option of adding 1 more sample if necessary.
3)  If you drop out or let a team member  down, we will post your name on a blacklist! You must be a man of your word to get down! Don't sign up if you  have no plans of finishing.

Fear and Loathing: Riding with DJ Resident is a hip-hop adaptation of the movie by the same name. The mixtape details a whacky search for the "American Dream", by DJ Res and his crazed, Samoan lawyer. Fueled by the massive amount of drugs they purchased with an advance from a magazine to cover a sporting event in Vegas; they set out in the Red Shark. Encountering police, reporters, gamblers, racers, and hitchhikers; they search for some undefinable thing know only as the "American Dream" and find fear, loathing and hip-hop adventures in the dementia of the modern American West.

Hitchhiker: Hot damn! I never rode in a convertible before!
DJ Resident: Is that right? Well... I guess you're about ready, then, aren't you?
JJ: We're your friends. We're not like the others, man, really.

This team was blessed with near perfect scores by all the judges all around the boards. Blessed with almost perfect 10s on the beat, the only thing that hurt them a little bit was the creativity factor.

The MC's straight killed it, this should be a real group. With a complex chorus involving both MC's, I really don't know how they put this together so well. Godamus the cocky bastard proves why he's so confident... Soul P comes thru and rips shit... showing why they are men of action. These guys are about to do big things.

This joint was filled with energy, hot lyrics, everything you would want. The beat was a straight banger, WhyOS came with the big guns on this one and they took the cake.
