How expensive is college in the USA?

Here is a webpage with costs for the school I attend (UCLA)... it's $6,000 for tution/fees, but since you're out-of-state/country, you'd have to pay an additional $16,000. Then you throw on all that other good stuff like food, health insurance, etc

I visit some info bullshit station here in a couple of days to see what's up.. in Germany I wouldnt have to pay much because my parents are poor, have to pay a rent and already raised 2 kids who themselves got kids again.. so I would get mad loans here.. but on the other hand Im not the kind of dude who likes the idea of living his entire life in the same fucking country.

There's lot of scholarships/grants/loans (last resort) out there... do some research, I know there are some around for international students... there are corporations that give scholarships to people who study a certain field, then expect you to work for them for a certain amount of time

Yeah, go to a CSU... or Community College and transfer... or if you're slick, you could go to Community College in Cali for 2 years, work for 1 year, then apply to a university in Cali... you wouldn't have to pay the extra out-of-state tuition cuz after being here 3 years, you're considered a resident

my first semester i payed a total of 20 bucks second semester zero , third 36 ...would have been 6 if i didn't get that parking ticket, then this upcoming semester i payed 34

but when you put into account i get financial aid i pay nothing because first semester i got 600 dollars, second semester i got 100, third i got 3,000 and this semester i'm getting 2500

It will take me some time to finish here though... 2006 I come to Cali, see how I like it and then Im going to decide what to do.. or how early do you usually have to apply? Maybe I have to apply several months in advance or something
