Talk Talk - It's My Life
I fucking hate artist that remake tracks and try to make their own
"A little something about Talk Talk
About three years ago I heard Talk Talk's 1986 hit Life's What You Make It on the radio, and since it was still a better song than anything the Seattle bands were putting out at the time I went and picked up their greatest hits CD, Natural History. I now wish I hadn't wasted the money, as I've bought all their other albums since then.
Singer Mark Hollis, drummer Lee Harris, bassist Paul Webb and keyboard player Simon Brenner formed Talk Talk in 1981. Their first album, 1982's The Party's Over, yielded the self-titled hit Talk Talk, and the critical and commercial response was encouraging if not overwhelming. Before heading to the studio to record their second album, It's My Life, the band lost Brenner, but picked up an important new piece of the puzzle in songwriter/producer Tim Friese-Greene. The orchestrated pop, jazz infusion and musical experimentation that would mark their later work can be heard on It's My Life."
