OK some of my favourites....


Gangster - goodfellas, scarface, once upon time in america, carlitos way, casino, bronx tale, godfather, mean streets, millers crossing, untouchables, pulp fiction / reservoir dogs (ish),

Gangsta - boyz in da hood, city of god, menace 2 society, clockers, juice

British - krayz, lock stock / snatch, gangster no 1, essex boys, get carter, italian job, brighton rock, long good friday

n comedy cb4 / dont be a menace...lol



lol some of these i dont entirely believe to be gangster films in entirity but others do....

...prob missed loads but these my fav that coime to mind

out of the trilogy id probably pick 2. I think the movie gets really intense when you see how pacino went from a innocent loving guy, to a stone cold killer.

lol... nah, my favorite gangsta movie of all time in the Godfather. Part I, to me it's just the shit. There is no movie that tops it. Marlon Brando fucks that movie up, and any movie in which Marlon Brando and Al Pacino are co-existing as father and son, I mean it's unfuckwitable. Think about it, Brando and Pacino, no wonder it's one of the few gangsta movies to be considered a classic in every way. Godfather II just adds to the trilogy, and part III, well Vito had two great sons in Michael and Sonny, part III is the Fredo of the series. But it's all good, because I know many Italian actors want in on part IV, and with Andy Garcia, you have a local Godfather if they ever decide on a part IV. I personally wouldn't do it, but hey, it makes money. Anyways, part I&II make for the greatest gangsta movies ever, and their is no way that can be disputed.
