I'm really against death penalty on a general basis, but in cases like this, it's well deserved.

Mohammed Bijeh (23) admitted to raping and killing 16 boys, and was sentenced to 100 rounds with the whip, and "death" 16 times by public hanging.
5000 people met up to watch the hanging, outside Teheran, Iran.
The Police had big trouble controlling the crowd, as they all wanted to beat Bijeh up, several people threw stones, and a relative of a victim succeeded in breaking through police barriers and cutting Bijeh up with a knife.
Many criminals has been hung in Iran, without any influence on crime statistics.
