RAY BANNED?

The Source co-owner and head of the "We Hate Eminem" fan club is back at it again, this time jumping and landing in the same spot and making hip-hop headlines for it. Benzino, the co-chair of The Source, sent out a press release last Friday afternoon detailing his exit from the magazine due to his ongoing beef with Eminem and his unhappiness with Black Enterprise, one of the financers of the magazine. 'Zino also later revealed that he was unhappy at a reported incident in which Interscope head honcho Jimmy Iovine demanded that L.A. Reid pull all Def Jam advertisements from The Source or risk being fired, a claim that has gone unsubstantiated as of yet. However, by Monday afternoon, Benzino released another statement saying that he would not be leaving The Source and would, in fact, remain on the staff and behind the pen at the magazine. In the meantime, former Editor-in-Chief Kim Osorio and another former female employee at The Source filed a lawsuit claiming that they were sexually harassed while at the magazine. Still following the story? Benzino and fellow co-owner Dave Mays have now revealed that they will file a counter suit against the women and sue them for defamation of character. Many, many more twists coming from this story for sure. But, in the meantime, count Benzino in at The Source. -- Christopher "Scav" Yuscavage
