Raising the amount of posts required to 500 won't help, because they will then be even more inclined to just put one word posts in topics. Maybe lower the required posts to 50, but speciify that they actually have to be 50 meaningful posts, that should solve the problem me thinks.

you're right, obviously. but the issue was determining what a meaningful post is. if they are constantly spewing utter nonsense and making it obvious that they are just trying to get into the hookup spot, then they should be banned. but i've made short responses that could be deemed unnecessary, as i'm sure we all have. i guess the frequency of such posts determine whether you are really contributing or not
