Fabio Capello believes Liverpool deserve to defend their Champions League title, won in Istanbul last week

“Liverpool won the Champions League and should have the possibility to defend it. However they should qualify for the competition, as Brazil are doing for the 2006 World Cup,” the Juventus boss told reporters in Tokio, the first stop of Juve’s Japan summer tour.



Czech star Pavel Nedved agrees with his coach.

“Everyone wants to see Liverpool in next season’s Champions League, and obviously everyone wants to beat the title holders,” he said.

The Serie A champs were ousted from this year’s Champions League by Liverpool in quarterfinal round
