nah . other people cant see how much you bid.. so lets say the item price is at 1.99 right now, and you put in a maximum bid of $8... it will only bid one up on the 1.99, like it will only bid the minimum amount u need to win, but it will automatiically keep bidding up to $8 if there are other people biddin on it too.

mint condition usually means the item is brand new.

i'm not sure if that's right...maybe u r

but if it says mint i tend to think it means as good as new but not actually brand new

i.e. a CD played maybe 1-5 times

yeah, youre right. either way though, it just means that the cd is pretty much perfect. some sellers interchange "mint" and "brand new"
