Hi, just introducing myself
« on: July 05, 2002, 12:07:54 AM »
I am regarded as the most influential figure in hip hop in Europe and as a pioneer of the UK scene.

I began as a DJ on pirate radio, LWR, and then as one of the co-owners of Kiss FM during the station’s pirate years. After presenting the Rap Show on Capital FM for seven years, I joined Radio 1 in December 1994. I also hosted my own television show on ITV’s Night Network and also presented and co-produced several music documentaries.

I am also very active as a club DJ throughout the country and i organise my own Radio 1 Rap Show events. Last year, I held a regular Saturday night event at the Temple Nightclub in North London. Every week the night attracted over 3,500 people and featured Hip Hop stars such as Funkmaster Flex, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, Lil Kim, Mase, EPMD, K-Ci and Jojo, Gang Starr and the Jungle Brothers. I also hosted the Main Stage at the Notting Hill Carnival, an event which attracts over a million people. I organise the top UK and US acts to perform at this free open air event.

Am committed to supporting UK talent on the Radio 1 Rap Show and to promote unsigned talent through open mic competitions and showcases.

I have won the Sony Award for Best Specialist Music Programme in 1990, 1991 and 1994 and I have been voted the Number One Rap DJ by the readers of Hip Hop Connection for the past ten years. In addition, I won the Best Radio Show at the Muzik Magazine Awards 1999.

Radio 1 Rap Show
The Radio 1 Rap Show broadcasts nationally on Radio 1 97-99FM on Fridays 11pm - 2am and Saturdays 9pm - 12am to over one million listeners every week. It is also available on the Astra Satellite in Europe.

The Radio 1 Rap Show is the only national rap show in the UK. It is known for breaking records into the mainstream, playing new music first and establishing new talent.

Once a month I broadcast live from New York with Funkmaster Flex for the ‘New York Rap Exchange’ and with Marley Marl for ‘New York Live’. Once a month there is Mixmaster where local DJs have an opportunity to show their skills. Every Friday, UK artists guest in the studio and there is a NYC Update with Max Glazer. On Saturday, The Westwood Show features hot guest DJs such as Cipher Sounds from Funkmaster Flex’s Big Dawg Pitbulls. Recent guests include Method Man and Redman, Jay Z, Puff Daddy, Busta Rhymes and Eminem. The Radio 1 Rap Show is hot - so check it out.

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?
