I do read them actually...and with good reason too, they're great. Obviously,a non-reader will think their childish or silly but really they aren't. They belong to the most enjoying books I've read and that's quite something for a series that's allready 6 books long.

J.K. Rowling is a great writer and when even Stephen King says that you 'created the best make-believe villain since Hannibal Lecter..'..something's quite allright,I should say. Even after 6 books,Rowling is still able to interest, mislead and surprise the reader, which sounds suspicious of well-written books to me.

I'm not saying people have to like them, not at all. But please do not think this is writing on the level of Sesame Street or silly American-written comics (which tend to suck).

By the way,it's allways nice to read people's comments to things they know nothing about and this particular thread is full of them.

I don't know what are hard words for you so I can't say too much about that.

Some of the spells might be a bit difficult but most of them sound quite cool

'expelliarmus'- to disarmour someone
'protego'- to cast a protective shield
'expecto patronum'- to conjure positive energy in the form of an animal that will knock out nasty enemies
'tarantellegra'- to make someone's legs do an unstoppable dance  :D
'avada kedavra'- the killing spell (one out of three Unforgivable Spells)

stuff like that. It's quite fun.

people read this because it's fun and because J.K. Rowling is a great writer. The books aren't all about casting spells. First and foremost, they are about trusting, betraying and being loyal to one another. Besides, the books are full of witty remarks, sharp answers and plain humorous things. Rowlings way of writing makes the reader allways be careful and aware and think things over instead of being simple, clear and therefore boring and predictable. Minor things in one book can be very important in another. On top of that, Rowling has great and psychologically believable characters.

I'd advise all of you to try them. Chances are you''ll greatly enjoy them. Especially once you've gotten to the third book and onwards from there on.
