Audio Interview: Needlz - Veteran Tastemaker
« on: August 15, 2005, 01:47:08 PM »

Michigan born Khari “Needlz” Cain is trying to take the beats we bounce to today, back to the original form. Dealing primarily with analogue rather than the digital format makes Needlz a rarity in the production game. In his interview with Hip-Hop Magazine Needlz breaks down where his beats come from and what inspires him to avoid the all too familiar sounding sampled beats.

The infamous “Piggy Bank” track from 50 Cents “The Massacre” was undeniably a track which created a buzz within the walls of the Hip-hop world. This happened to be produced by Needlz and in this interview he explains about the reality of producers being involved in what are considered ‘beef’ tracks. He is most definitely a producer to watch out for, so checking out what he has to say should be a priority for any producer on the come up or anyone just wanting to understand just what goes on behind the making of the tracks we all long to listen to.
