The first day sales were a record, that's a record, for a 1 day sales record to debut at #1 on the billboard charts.

the second week and first week sales combined wouldn't be a new record (slightly possible, it's close), because Em has the record with MMLP.  That's hiphop, of course.  N*Sync pushed over 2 mill last album, so they've got the record for 1 week sales.

Em debuting at #1 on 1 days worth of sales is arecord, though, that's never been done.
