MY REVIEW OF DJ QUIK'S NEW ALBUM TRAUMA )))))))))))))))))))))))))))

i bought this shit today just to support the westcoast so i went to the store and they had 1 left and it was in the used cd's area and someone tried to still it the other day dont know if they were caught but heres my opinion !!!

2. intro for roger - ok song the beat wasnt too great

3. fandango - i like the beat but the theme of the song is chessy  - fandango ??

4. till jesus comes - the chessiest quik song i've heard and the chorus is off

5. black mercedes - wasnt really feelin this song except the part when nate dogg sings

6. get up - wasnt feeling this song at all the beat is boring

7. get down - the beat is cool but the hook is vey chessy and chingy has a surprisingly ok verse

8. ladies & thugs - now this is the quik shit i love as soon as i heard the beat it was bumpin one of the best songs

9. catch 22 - what a waste of time on this dont know what he was thinking the beat is boring again

10. back of a limo - one of the best songs on the album its quik at his best feelin it !!!!!!!

11. pacific coast - this beat was remix from ludacris's album and i think its tight has a summer time vibe cool song !!!!!!

12. quik's groove 7 - probally my favorite song on the album i'm definately bumpin this shit all day with jodeci you cant go wrong !!!!!!

13. jet set - also feelin this track great beat and reminds me of the quik of old tight track !!!!!!!!!!!!!1

14. california - this song is ok would have been better if he had somebody else rapping with him like snoop , cube , eiht , or a big name westcoast legend collabo but amg is cool though !!!!!!!!


overall i think the first half of the album is kinda weak but it gets better at the end maybe he planned it like that to leave the die hard quik fans wanting more of that quik shit !!!

but out of the 14 songs i liked about 6 or 7 of them and the rest i couldnt feel it but its better then his last album i can say that peace out compton's in the house !!!!!!!!!!!

If someone never heard the album and listen to your review, he will have the wrong opinion on what the album really is.
"Till Jesus Comes" is one of the greatest track Quik has ever done.

I AM NOT A QUIK DICKRIDER.  I don't think he's the best artist ever or any shit like that.

That being said, this album is fucking classic -- the production is varied and complex but still bangs, quik's got an amazing flow and some fun content, and the guest appearances are on point too.  i can hardly find a fault with it.

I just gave my honest opinion and like i said i have been a fan of dj quik since 1991 quik is the name and i thought the first half of the album should have been thrown out and re planned becuz i wasn't feelin the hook's at all the beats were ok but if you got a bad hook then the whole song is fucked up to me !!!

I disagree also, Black Mercedes and Till Jesus Come are both great songs. And Intro For Roger is the shit, the beat isn't ok it's great, it's my favorite track on the album. If I had to rate this album I'd give it a 4.25/5
