Song is going to be huge, album is going to destroy the world.
Well she moved in ways
That kept her there in our minds for days
Weeks and months it was
I was that amazed and there she stays
Surrounded by the what-ifs and the maybes

CRACKING song and the album is shaping up to be hot....dont think it will hit number 1

"According to reports, the single has currently outsold the current chart toppers Sugababes and their single ‘Push The Button’ by around 3,000 copies. Astonishingly, ‘I Bet You Look Good…’ is the Arctic Monkey’s first proper release – previous to this they’d only a limited edition single ‘Fake Tales Of San Francisco’"

Sugababes been out 3 weeks, that 3,000 is just the week figures after 3 so if another new single to drop this week sell 10,000 more than sugababes its no great feat its just the first week buzz..others released this week are

Blak Twang - Travellin
Backstreet Boys - Just Want You To Know
Alex Parks - Looking For Water
Olav Basoski feat. Michie One - Waterman
Lethal Bizzle - Fire
McFly - I Wanna Hold You

only contender there is mcfly...hope the AM hit the top spot...always good to hear a WORTHY track top the charts!

I think it'll get Top 3, the single buying public generally consists of people under 14 who buy singles on a Saturday. McFly and Sugababes will get good sales then, whereas AM will probably have already sold most of what they have the potential to shift.

Been raving about these guys for a good few months now, including on here awhile back.

Original demo was:

Certain Romance
Bigger Boys
BYLGOTD
Fake Tales
Mardy Bum
Scummy
Dancing Shoes
Still Take You Home

They released Fake Tales on a limited edition single with a B Side called From The Ritz To The Rubble. The new single has a reworked version of Bigger Boys as B Side and an instrumental called Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick.

Theres also a lot of old demo work, some of them are very bad quality, but there all are at least average songs, some are very good. Choo Choo, Cigarette Smoke, Curtains Close, Knock A Door Run, On The Run From The MI5, Riot Van, Space Invaders, Wavin Bye To The Train or The Bus.

Then theres songs that have you can only get live versions of.  (Vampires, Stickin To The Floor and a couple more).

Cunts on Ebay are selling some CDs with 20+ songs on, even though all the songs are available for download.

Oh and Noel Gallagher will owe Jo Whiley £50 as he bet a band with a name like AM would never do anything succesful! ;)

Everything is on them links. The last two are from a recent Radio One show. The show was top notch and it's worth downloading.

I heard about what Noel said. Not at all suprised. Fair play to Oasis, they've been in the same position that AM are heading for. The might have to watch their crown though.

He knows of them, when I told him to download the demo he was too busy informing me about some ska/rap band, so not sure if he's actually heard them. He won't have much choice soon mind. Already heard the single on an advert, playing at HMV and Top Shop and it's getting bumped up on radio stations playlists.

Yeah the Arctic Monkeys are selling out gigs across the country, even before the single was released to the radio. Great band and I'm looking forward to the album, hopefully they stay around longer than the Libertines though.

Why even mention Libertines eh? Every review I read seems to have to include them.
