True about Von Wafer, but Devin Green is doing pretty good...He's a very good man-up defender and he's good at running the offense. Not a player you'll see making many technical errors, it's mostly his shot that he needs to work on, and he seems to have improved on that. Von Wafer is just a wreck out there...He has all the ability in the world, he's just clueless as to how to apply it. He looks stiff as hell, he definitely needs some time in the NBDL...He had a good game (the one I went to) where he was just scoring at will in the 4th quarter. They're using him as an initiator when really he should be used mainly as a scoring option...

Devin Green-
Game 1: 3-7 FG, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 7 points
Game 2: 6-12 FG, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 12 points
Game 3: 0-5 FG, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 2 steals, 1 point
Game 4: 6-10 FG (1-1 3FG), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 16 points
Averages: 9 PPG (15-34 FG), 4 RPG, 2 APG, 1 SPG

Von Wafer-
Game 1: 1-6 FG, 0 rebounds, 1 assists, 0 steals, 2 points
Game 2: 7-15 FG (2-3 3FG), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 18 points
Game 3: 1-5 FG, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 0 steals, 6 points
Game 4: 4-10 FG (1-2 3FG), 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 steals, 11 points
Averages: 9.3 PPG (13-36 FG), 1.3 RPG, 0.5 APG, 1.3 SPG

And the last player battling for the final roster spot...

JR Pinnock-
Game 1: 6-9 FG (2-2 3FG), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steals, 1 block, 16 points
Game 2: 5-9 FG, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 1 block, 11 points
Game 3: 4-10 FG, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 8 points
Game 4: 6-13 FG (1-2 3FG), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 1 block, 12 points
Averages: 11.8 PPG (21-41 FG), 5 RPG, 1.5 APG, 0.5 SPG, 0.8 BPG

You mean the whole league? All I know is that on the Lakers it's Devin Green playing the best man defense on the perimiter, along with JR Pinnock, who is also a good defender and sorta' reminds of a smaller Josh Howard. Jordan Farmar is also looking nice on the defensive end, while Bynum is dominating the paint with 2.4 blocks a game...We have a lot of nice youn prospects. Another nice player we got on the SPL squad (who most likely won't make the roster) is 6'9" PF Marcus Slaughter. But look out for him, I think we'll see him in the NBA sooner than later...PeACe

Lakers put Jim Cleamons on coach staff
-rejoins the team as assistant coach, after spending the past two seasons with the New Orleans Hornets.

The Los Angeles Lakers have hired Jim Cleamons as an assistant coach.

Cleamons, who previously served as an assistant coach with the Lakers during 1999-2004, re-joins the team after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the New Orleans Hornets. During his prior stint with the Lakers, Cleamons helped guide the team to three consecutive NBA Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002 as well as an NBA Finals appearance in 2004. In his five years with Los Angeles, the Lakers posted a 287-123 (.700) record.

“I am very pleased that Jim is returning to the Lakers coaching staff,” said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. “Having worked with Jim for over 12 years, I know what assets he brings to a team. His knowledge of the game and his ability to communicate with players are qualities which make him such a good coach. He will be a welcome addition to an already outstanding coaching staff and I look forward to working with him again.”

Cleamons began his coaching career in 1989 when he joined Jackson’s staff with the Chicago Bulls. Over the next seven seasons Cleamons helped lead the Bulls to four NBA titles in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996. In his seven years with Chicago, the Bulls compiled a record of 414-160 (.721). In May of 1996, Cleamons left the Bulls and was named head coach of the Dallas Mavericks where he stayed for 1 1/2 years, compiling a record of 28-72 (.280). Before joining the Lakers staff in 1999, Cleamons spent the 1998-99 season as the head coach of the Chicago Condors professional women’s team that played in the now defunct American Basketball League.

Yea, why do you think the Hornets overachieved so much? Cleamons was the brains behind it all... ;)
