Fuck has the season started yet? I'm tired of watching the Dodgers lose.

Not even close.....unfortunatley

October can't come soon enough.

Suns to open season against Lakers

From Staff Reports
July 27, 2006

The NBA schedule won't be released until next week, but the Suns will open the 2006-07 season on Halloween on national television against a familiar foe.

Phoenix will tip off Oct. 31 at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers, who saw last season end after an epic, seven-game, first-round playoff series against the Suns. Television (TNT, ESPN) is expected to select the game as part of its season-opening doubleheader, meaning a likely 8:30 p.m. start.

The series was loaded with memorable moments — from Kobe Bryant's overtime buzzer-beater in Game 4, to Raja Bell's forearm shiver to Bryant in Game 5, to Tim Thomas' 3-point bomb in the final seconds that forced overtime and set up a Suns win in Game 6. Phoenix finally won the series with a blowout win in Game 7, then completed an L.A. sweep with another seven-game slugfest over the Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals.

Wouldn't surprise me. Although this whole Kobe vs. Shaq on Christmas crap is getting pretty boring.

Heat still on for Christmas

ROSS SILER, Staff writer

The Lakers won't be able to use youth and inexperience as an excuse any longer. Not with a front-loaded schedule in which they will play 15 of their first 20games at home this season.

The NBA announced its 2006-07 schedule Tuesday, highlighted by a third consecutive Christmas Day game between the Lakers and Miami Heat. For the second season in a row, the game will be played on Shaquille O'Neal's turf in Miami.

The Lakers will open the season Oct. 31 at home against Phoenix, a rematch of their first-round playoff series, and will have to come together quickly if they hope to improve on last season's 45-37 record.

The Lakers will play a NewYear's Eve home game against Philadelphia — their first Dec. 31 contest since 1968 — and will start an eight-game trip in late January in New York. It will be their longest trip since 1989. They also will play the Hornets in Oklahoma City (Jan. 20) and in New Orleans (March 23).

Other featured games will come Nov. 17 at Staples Center, when Kobe Bryant faces Toronto for the first time since his 81-point game, and Feb. 15, when a matchup between Bryant and LeBron James will serve as the NBA's lead-in to the All-Star break.

The defending champion Heat will come to Staples Center on Jan. 15, a showcase game on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday for the second year in a row. The Christmas game, meanwhile, will come as part of a six-game trip for the Lakers.

The Lakers will play 24 games on TNT, ESPN or ABC next season, tied for the most in the league.

The Clippers, who open at Phoenix on Nov. 1, will make 12national television appearances, up from one last season.

8 game road trip?!...Damn, that's a lot. I really hope all those games aren't delayed...
