On another note, that behind the back pass Lamar gave to Mo Evans was a thing of beauty.

Not really hard to do. I've seen better things by Odom. Less spectacular, but very very good. Great game.

43 is FX. No Sports on there. We have FSN for all the home games, but we only get the road games if they're on TNT, ESPN, or NBATV

Jordan Farmar, the Lakers' first-round draft choice out of UCLA, followed that advice Tuesday night. He followed it not only on the court, where he hit all three of his shots from floor and played with obvious confidence as the Lakers won their season opener 114-106 against the Phoenix Suns, but in the dressing afterward as well.

Asked by reporters if he had butterflies, he said. "I don't get butterflies."

Was the Taft High graduate in awe of stepping onto the court as a member of the team he had long rooted for growing up in Los Angeles?

"I expected to be here my whole life, since I was four years old."

Would he rank this game among his biggest thrills?

"Just another day."

When he scored his first NBA basket in the third quarter, did he savor the moment?

"If you take time to do that, you'll find Steve Nash coming right back at you the other way."

What did he think, mostly watching from the bench, as the Lakers fell behind by 19 points in the first quarter ?

"Let me get in there and make something happen."

Did he feel like he had stepped up to another of level of competition?

"We could be playing shirts and skins. It's just basketball."

Yo how do u rank the lakers in terms of player-value to the team? obviously everyone is gonna say kobe and odom at #1 and 2, but it'll be interesting to see where u rank everybody else. i would say radmanovic and walton are up there.
