Kidd would be way better than Bibby but I can see the logic of going after Bibby instead. If we trade for Bibby, we won't have to give up nearly as much as we would for Kidd. In order to get Kidd, we'd have to match around $18 million in salary and how can we do that without losing Odom or either Bynum or Kwame?  With Bibby we don't have to give up as much. Anyone know how much he's getting paid?

Vlad is out for 8 weeks with a fucked up shoulder  ::)

Another fucking injury to add to the list...Just what we needed.

This is just going from bad to worse. We went from 5th place playing great basketball to half of our team injured. This is getting to be a bit much.  :'(

"Colin Cowherd discussed the possible trade for about 10 minutes this morning with Bucher, who thinks there is a 65 to 70% chance it will go down. God knows where he gets that number, but it was an interesting interview."

"Bucher Update: Lakers Trade LIKELY...

Said the deal is in place. Portland, LA, and New Jersey. Said the deal is likely. Chris Mihm will be going to Portland for Jamal Magloire. Also said that the Nets will want to move Vince Carter if they move JKidd. Clippers and Magic are frontrunners for VC. So its in place. Lets hope and pray people!!!!!"

i would throw walton into the list of people we shouldnt give up, but then again, walton's playmaking ability is nothing compared to kidd's

The Lakers haven't announced it yet, but the word is Phil Jackson has agreed to a five-year contract extension that includes a provision for moving into the front office at the appropriate time.

Owner Jerry Buss is hopeful the Zen Master will be able to attract marquee players in his new role once he leaves the bench. That also sounds like a reduced role for Mitch Kupchak.

Bucher jus reported on espn sportscenter, everyone is on board. That is, Nets owner, lakers owner, mitch K, have all signed off on it. Hold up is Thorne, he wants bynum too finish it off.

* He also said, kidd wants it too happen.
